CONGRESSIONAL BLACK CAUCUS ENDORSES JOSH GOTTHEIMER
U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer received the endorsement of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) Political Action Committee today. Representing nearly a quarter of the House Democratic Caucus, the CBC currently has a historic 55 members of the U.S. House of Representatives.
“Josh Gottheimer can be counted on to ensure that we are creating policies that strengthen our communities. From his days working at the US Commission on Civil Rights to his time now in Congress, he has fought for criminal justice reform, for education and economic opportunity, for advancing voting rights, and for an end to health disparities and credit discrimination,” said Congressional Black Caucus Political Action Committee Chair Congressman Gregory Meeks. “In these challenging times, Josh has made sure he supported families and frontline workers through the pandemic. We know he will always be an ally to confront racial injustice whenever and wherever it may be found.”
“I’m honored to have the support of the Congressional Black Caucus and proud to be fighting alongside the Caucus to combat injustice and strengthen opportunities for African Americans,” said Gottheimer. “It is urgent that we confront the racial disparities in our nation and work to eliminate discrimination on all fronts, so that all Americans have a bright future ahead of them.”
